The Birches

For quite some time,
I've been hoping to add a
Keystone dollhouse to my collection.

That day finally arrived this
past Friday.
On my way home from work,
I stopped into a nearby antique shop.
This behemoth was spotted buried under
 a pile of junk, literally.
Each room was
 packed with plastic Christmas garland
and other knick-knacks.

Once cleared of the clutter,  I was amazed at
how complete it was! Someone
clearly had taken good care of
it for the last 60+ years.

Even the little potted plants on the porch,
barely held on with a tiny nail, are
still there.

Other than a small piece of missing roof line
and the cardboard edge
of the stairs, it's in super condition.
It's really quite large too, 31" wide and 22" high.

Now I'll need to start looking
for the appropriate 1" scale furniture
to furnish it....
